Privacy Policy

Last updated 24 September 2026

This policy explains how Urban Pulse Strategies Pty Ltd ACN 650 700 226, trading as AusDilaps ("we", "us"), handles personal information. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

  • Clients and enquirers: names, roles, company details, contact details, project details and billing information.
  • Property owners, tenants and agents: names, contact details, property addresses, and booking and access details.
  • Inspection records: photographs, video, drone and LiDAR imagery, measurements and notes about a property's condition. These can capture people, belongings, documents or vehicles that happen to be in view.
  • Website visitors: what you enter into our forms or chat, and usage information collected through cookies and analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Job applicants: the information you give us when you apply to work with us.

You can contact us without giving your name, but we may not be able to help with an inspection or quote.

How we collect it

Mostly from you: by phone, email, text message, through our website, or in person during an inspection. We also receive information from others. For example, a builder or developer who engages us may give us the addresses and contact details of neighbouring owners and occupiers so we can arrange inspections.

How we use it

  • To quote for, arrange and carry out inspections, and prepare reports.
  • To contact owners and occupiers about access and bookings, including by text message.
  • To give property owners a copy of their inspection report when they ask for one.
  • To respond to enquiries and manage our client relationships, including telling clients about our services (you can opt out at any time).
  • To deal with questions, disputes or claims about a property's condition.
  • To run and improve our business and website, and to meet our legal obligations.

Property inspections

When we inspect a property we photograph and record its condition. We try not to photograph people or personal items, and you can tell the inspector anything you would prefer we didn't photograph.

We use inspection records to prepare reports for the client who arranged the inspection, and to give the owner a copy on request. We may also use them to prepare condition reports for other construction projects near the same property. Before we do, we remove or blur identifiable people and personal items, and the report shows the date the images were taken.

We don't publish inspection images or use them in our marketing without permission. If you don't want images of your property used for other projects, email info@ausdilaps.com.au and we won't use them.

Who we share it with

  • The client who engaged us for the inspection and, for the reports described above, other clients carrying out construction near the property.
  • Property owners who ask for a copy of their report.
  • Service providers who help us run the business, such as cloud storage, CRM, email and text-message providers, and subcontractors such as drone operators. They may only use the information to provide services to us.
  • Our insurers and professional advisers.
  • Regulators, courts and others when the law requires or allows it.

Information stored overseas

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. Some members of our administrative team work from outside Australia and access our systems remotely under our security and confidentiality policies.

Security and how long we keep it

We keep information in secure, access-controlled systems. We keep inspection records for as long as they are reasonably needed for the purposes above, including to deal with later claims about a property's condition, and then securely destroy or de-identify them.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see, or correct, the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@ausdilaps.com.au.

If you have a privacy complaint, contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
